Streaming and media software that gives people a reason to stay

OTT apps, subscription systems and content platforms for studios, publishers and creators. You worked hard on the content. The product around it shouldn't be why someone cancels.

Why people leave

You spend months making something. It can take ten seconds for someone to leave.

Someone sits down after a long day, opens your app and scrolls for ten minutes without finding anything to watch. The next episode buffers. A price rise email arrives on Friday. On Sunday they cancel, and it has nothing to do with how good your show was.

Audiences are not disloyal so much as tired, and subscribing and leaving has become easy. People stay for what feels like it was made for them. Discovery, reliability and clear value are product choices, and they are within your control.

What we build

OTT, streaming app and media platform development

You might not need a whole new platform. Some clients need one great app on top of a video provider they already use. We start from your audience and your catalogue.

  • OTT and streaming apps

Web, mobile and TV apps with adaptive video, downloads and resume on any device.

    Mobile Apps Development
  • Subscriptions and paywalls

Plans, trials, bundles, regional pricing and win-back offers, connected to app store billing.

    Website Development
  • Recommendations

Personal discovery built from what people finish, not simply what they click on.

    AI Development
  • Content management

Editorial workflows, rights windows, metadata and scheduling, so that your team publishes without tickets.

    Website Development
  • Creator and community tools

Memberships, comments, live events and payouts that keep your fans close.

    Website Development
  • Audience analytics

Which titles keep subscribers, where viewers drop off, and who is about to leave.

What media platforms have to get right

These technical and legal basics decide whether the show starts on time, and whether you are allowed to show it.

Playback reliability
Adaptive bitrate streaming, CDN planning and load tests for your biggest release day.
DRM and rights
Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady protection, plus territory and licence window controls.
Privacy and children's content
Consent, tracking and age-appropriate rules, which are especially strict for younger audiences.
Accessibility
Captions, audio description and full support for keyboards and TV remotes.

How a media project runs

  1. Study your drop-offs

We start with your data: where people stop watching, and when they cancel.

  2. Fix playback and discovery

Reliable streaming and faster paths to something good come first.

  3. Launch on the screens that count

We go where your audience actually watches, not everywhere at once.

  4. Build for retention

Win-back flows, personalisation and analytics grow from what we learn.

Media & Entertainment: common questions

How much does it cost to build a streaming app?

It depends on how many screens you launch on and how much you build versus buy. An app on top of a video provider costs far less than a custom platform with multi-DRM and TV apps. Use the brief on this page for an estimate.

Should we build our own video infrastructure?

Rarely at the start. Services such as Mux or AWS media tools handle encoding and delivery well. Custom infrastructure begins to make sense at a large scale, where usage costs justify it.

Which devices should we launch on?

Look at where your audience already watches. Most start with web and mobile, then add smart TVs and streaming sticks if the content is long-form.

How do you reduce subscriber churn?

Better discovery, reliable playback, flexible plans such as pausing, clear value at renewal and win-back offers. Measure churn by the title and month people joined so that you can see what's working.

Can you protect our content from piracy?

We can use multi-DRM, watermarking, signed URLs and device limits. Nothing stops piracy altogether, but these raise the cost of stealing and meet studio requirements.

Can you handle a big live event?

Yes, with low-latency streaming, CDN capacity planning and load tests well before the day. Live traffic spikes are nothing like normal usage, so we test for them on purpose.
