Biometric Information Privacy Act
Private companies must inform people in writing and get a written release before collecting biometric identifiers such as fingerprints or face geometry, and must publish a retention policy. We avoid biometrics where a badge or PIN will do, and build consent and deletion in where it will not.

No. We work remotely from Srinagar and Mississauga.
Should our time clock use fingerprints?
Only if a badge or PIN will not work. Biometrics bring written consent and retention duties in Illinois.
